What is going on with Jessica Simpson?

I truly don't see the girl as being talented. The other night she forgot lyrics, wiped away tears as she was going off stage, said she felt vulnerable up on stage and sometimes wants to quit. She would stop her band during songs and have them start over - I've seen her do this on Morning Talk Shows also. Why doesn't she just give it a rest? She makes the oddest faces when she sings and she doesn't even sing well. Could this be her demise?
