Is it ok for one person in a commited relationship to be active in personal ads?

If a couple has been together for more than a year is it ok for one partner to be active in a personals add, even if they say on there just searching for friends. But there is a catch saying they live alone and targeting a certain age group. I dont agree how about you. What would you do.
