I'm a new stepmom and I have no idea what to do?

My husband and I have been married for two years, and his two boys, 11 and 13, just moved in with us for a year. They do a year with their mom and a year with dad, so it's dad's turn and it's my first time as a step parent. I've never been around kids and have NO idea what on earth to do as a step parent, my husband says to be like a friend to them, but I'm not too sure about that. I'm so confused and fustrated I just want to lock myself in a colset and never come out.... Can someone help me with maybe an info website where I can learn about all this step parenting stuff? Thanks
